Welcome

The Phoenix Poetry Workshop is Toronto's longest running poetry workshop, now more than thirty years old. We welcome poets of all ages, aspiring and experienced writers of any style to join us in a supportive and friendly environment. It's free. You join by creating your account on this web site and/or attending our monthly meetings. Workshops are held the first Saturday of every month at 2:30 pm. The location is the College/Shaw branch of the Toronto Public Library, 766 College Street.

The goal of Phoenix Poetry Workshop is to expand and develop our poetic art and capabilities. We believe that one of the best ways to do this is by poets coming together to share their work and get immediate constructive feedback.  We offer that to each other by participating in the workshops. Hearing the works and perspectives of others adds to our own insights and poetic creativity. It is also a way to develop new friendships with others who share our love of poetry. Phoenix has published compilations of member works in past, and we plan to do so again.
